Omega Nutrition Center Juicer, 200-Watt, Metallic

I believe I read about every review written before ordering this item. I am a first time juicer and wanted to get as much nutrition out of my juices as possible and not have to spend hours in the process. The longest part of the process is the preparation of the vegetables and fruits, but I have a pretty good system down after about a week. The juicing does not take long and the clean up is a breeze. The improved auger on this model is truly sturdy and solid and the main reason I went with the J8006. It only requires a little counter space when using it, otherwise I tuck it away nicely. As mentioned by others, the pulp that comes out the end is moist, but not super wet and so it extracts a surprising amount of juice from everything, including greens. Some warm soapy water cleans up the attachments very quickly and I leave them on a towel to air dry. So easy to assemble, a caveman could do it (no offense intended). The juicer much quieter than any coffee grinder and I would not hesitate to run it while others are sleeping. My basic green juice (I'll start experimenting with some others and wheat grass later) is as follows: -1 peeled cucumber -4 celery stalks -2 peeled organic red apples -several leaves of Kale and spinach (or whatever leafy greens I have around) -1/2 peeled lemon -3 carrots -4 to 6 one inch chunks of fresh pineapple This is surprisingly tasty for a beginner like me and I plan on increasing the veggie to fruit ratio over time, because I know if I find it unpleasant, I won't drink it. I highly recommend this juicer. It originally shipped to an address I had not lived at in over 10 years. Lucky the resident who signed for it was a friend and Amazon refunded the item when it was returned via UPS, and neither I or my friend had to pay for any shipping. Even after speaking with a customer service person, who said they erased my old address, I saw it on my profile on my next purchase a week later and had to remove it again. But I paid nothing to reorder it and was merely without it for another week. I still give it 5 stars, because of the product itself.

I have been using the Omega masticating juicer for about a week now and am 100% satisfied with the results. I already have a centrifugal juicer that I get a lot of use out of. I may be giving the centrifugal juicer away. The one thing that started me on the idea of juicing, was my Doctor recommending that I eat a lot of raw fresh vegetables. I can eat one or two servings of raw vegetables a day, any more than that and my digestive system gets unhappy. I can now consume two servings of fruit, two of raw vegetables, and two 16 ounce containers (or more) of fresh vegetable juice a day. I still eat meat and dairy products, only less, and low fat. Now to the 'nuts and bolts' part. The body of the Omega 8006 is about 11.5 inches long, without the attachments. It is rather heavy and very nice looking when setting on my kitchen counter. I found that one of the tricks to making this easy to use, is food preparation. Carrots should be cut in half or thirds. When you get the size right, you can just drop them in the feed chute and they will self feed. The recommended on cycle for this device is 30 minutes, it will get hot after a while. An important thing to note. I found that after making two sixteen ounce containers of vegetable juice, the internal screen gets pretty well clogged with bits of pulp. Do not be afraid to take it apart and clean it with a tooth brush and some soap and water, then continue juicing. That is about a three minute delay. Clean-up is easier than my centrifugal juicer. Much less screen area and sharp things to worry about. Personal observations; I am (was) a 'meat and potatoes' guy who thought that this 'juicing stuff' was mostly for people off on some way different eating styles than mine. I now enjoy having 'fresh' (made the day before) juice for breakfast and with my lunch. For me, the morning juice actually adds some energy to my routine. I am no longer hungry all the time until lunch and do not need to snack on unhealthy things. By the way, I cut up and juiced one of those small (maybe 12 pound) seedless watermelons on Friday and put the juice into some 8 ounce glass jars. Today, Sunday, close to 48 hours later, that juice still tastes as fresh as when I made it. :)

Bought for my daughter-in-law who loves it and uses it at least once every day. Looks good in her kitchen, too.

I bought this juicer to start juicing greens. It has been extremely good for this purpose. The greens come out very dry. I also started to make ice cream with it and the texture is like the real ice cream. I recommend this juicer to anyone that wants to improve their health by juicing greens.

Super eficiente, no se me complica para nada armar y desarmar, exprime de lujo¡ la mejor inversión que he hecho por mi salud. A diferencia de los centrífugos, éste de prensa fría extrae todos los nutrientes, especialmente me gusta porque hago jugos con verduras de hojas verdes que son los vegetales que nos ayudan a sanar las células. La compra: Soy cliente de amazon.com USA desde hace ya más de 16 años y nunca he tenido un problema con mis compras, en amazon México tengo varias compras ya, y tampoco he tenido ningún problema, y ésta compra sigue igual de consistente con mis compras pasadas en cualquiera de las 2 tiendas virtuales. Hago notar esto pues al leer una reseña de un comprador del mismo extractor, me quedó algo de duda al comprar el mío y no es que tuviera dudas para comprarlo en amazon méxico, sino que ya casi tenía en mente que el mío estaría también con alguna pieza faltante y tendría que esperar a que me mandaran la pieza faltante, pero mi extractor llegó completo y en perfecto estado. Mensualidades sin intereses: Como es producto que vende y envía amazon méxico tuve la oportunidad de pagar a mensualidades sin intereses muy cómodas con tarjeta bancaria El extractor: Después de tenerlo en mi lista de deseos desde hace ya 8 años (obviamente el modelo anterior), finalmente hice la compra. No era cuestión de revisar reseñas o investigar cual es en mi opinión el mejor extractor de jugos pues eso ya lo había hecho hace 8 años, pero nunca había visto uno en persona ni mucho menos había "sentido" la calidad de materiales, y eso es algo que solo al verlo y tocarlo se aprecia. Desde el cable de alimentación, hasta los accesorios y cuerpo del mismo están hechos como decimos los mexicanos "con toda la mano", por algo el fabricante ofrece una garantía de 15 años en EU (cosa que me decepciona de la versión que venden para méxico pues solamente ofrece 5 años de garantía) Instructivo: EL instructivo original en inglés es algo sencillo pero muy aceptable, con buena calidad de papel y contenido y contiene una que otra receta tanto para jugos como para todo lo que se puede hacer en el extractor, sin embargo; la traducción, el material y hasta el tamaño del que ofrece el distribuidor mexicano deja MUCHO que desear, es un papel corriente, sin color, más bien fotocopiado y sin esmero en la atención a los detalles y en realidad al hojearlo me dio coraje al saber que el consumidor mexicano o latino americano NO es tan importante para estos fabricantes, incluso aunque lo compremos más caro que en EU Nivel de ruido y operación: Después de haber regalado mi extractor centrífugo hace 1 semana y utilizar el Omega J8006 me quedé felizmente sorprendido, pues incluso en algunos videos de reseñas no se sabe si el micrófono está cerca (cuando se escucha muy fuerte) o muy lejos (en los videos en que casi no se escucha) y hasta que lo tuve y utilize por primera vez me di cuenta de lo silencioso que es y eso siempre es muy bienvenido en mi casa, aparte de lo silencioso, no tiene vibraciones como los centrífugos y es mucho más fácil y rápido para limpiar después de usarlo. El aparato se tibia un poco al tacto después de hacer un jugo y tenerlo encendido por algunos 15 minutos, pero nada exagerado. El ensamble y desarmado es sumamente fácil y rápido también. Esa pieza se quebró de la parte donde enrosca, quedando el extractor inservible, no entiendo como un producto tan caro, pueda tener una pieza tan frágil, creo entonces que es mejor comprar un extractor de 649 pesos aquí mismo en amazon con la misma funcionalidad y cuando llegue a quebrarse algo se compra otro nuevo, en vez de comprar la pieza por más de 800 pesos o estar listo para perder tiempo y tal vez hacer corajes con la garantía, la cual en mi caso no he contactado y no se que experiencia me espere...
