quality of book is good,but it is not very useful for mechanical engineering,it is useful for math science ,there are lots of proof in the book

After acquiring a lot of Linear Algebra books, I found this to be particularly complete and comprehensive regarding both, theory and applications. There is also a solutions manual available on the net which covers certain odd numbered problems. A full solutions manual would've been great for self study but hey, can't have everything yeh? Anyway, a great book on the subject. To dive deeper I would recommend the Advanced Linear Algebra by Roman which is fantastic.
