Nice design and works well
A well-made yarn spinner that does exactly what it’s supposed to. The yarn feeds smoothly as you pull, which makes crocheting a bit easier and tidier. The wooden design looks attractive on a craft table as well. The only thing to note is that it’s best suited for standard yarn balls rather than very large skeins. Overall, a useful accessory for knitting or crochet.

Excellent and useful to me
To assemble this magnetic wooden yarn spinner took around one minute as there are only two screws. The screws and a small screwdriver are included. The Pendulum simply magnetically attaches and hangs down freely. The magnets are powerful enough that it does not detach when pulling yarn from a spool inserted on the Pendulum. The pendulum swings and spins very smoothly and with so little effort I can use this with a sewing machine. I am using this to hold a large spool of heavy embroidery thread, which feeds into the sewing machine I use to sew leather. It's a slow-running machine, and this yarn spinner works perfectly with it. I'm delighted as it's far easier for me to change the thread spool than it has been with the spool stand I use, which has a closed eye on an overhead arm. The added flexibility I now have means I can quickly change from my primary thread on the original stand to a secondary colour on this spinner.

Good value
I've been using this magnetic wooden yarn spinner for a couple of weeks now and it's made crocheting and knitting much smoother. The large rotating pendulum design keeps the yarn ball spinning freely without tangles or constant pulling, and the magnetic base holds everything steady on my table. It's well handcrafted, feels solid, and the pendulum action is nicely weighted for even unwinding. The wood is darker than expected from the photos, but it's only cosmetic and doesn't affect how well it works. Overall, a thoughtful, practical gift for any yarn lover. Four stars, excellent functionality, just a shade off on the colour match.

Works, don't overload it - HSIULMY Magnetic Wooden Yarn Spinner
I say don't overload it, what I mean is if you have a large ball on it and handle it quite rough it lets go of its suspending magnet and drops off, or it threatens to topple over. Couple of times it started swinging while turning as it should, then seemed to catch a bit and a quick pull popped it off. No matter, it does work and is easy to use and rather handy for knitting. Saves from having the ball of wool rolling about the sofa or floor, getting all unwound and tangled! Easy to assemble too, comes with the screw/bolts you need (only needs two) and even a small screwdriver to help! I'd say not cheap though, seventeen quid which to be honest isn't reflected in the general quality, I've seen very similar in high street bargain shops for under a tenner. Overall not bad despite the quirky handling during use. If you're careful with it there's no problem.

Mesmerising
I bought the yarn spinner and it’s exactly as described. It’s a really clever design, the large rotating pendulum holds the yarn ball smoothly and makes crocheting and knitting so much easier. Watching the yarn spin as it unwinds is actually quite mesmerising and oddly satisfying. The quality is really nice too. It’s handcrafted, feels solid, and the wood has a smooth finish that makes it look and feel premium. It’s lightweight enough to move around if needed, but sturdy enough that it doesn’t tip over while in use. It’s a thoughtful gift for yarn lovers and definitely makes working with yarn more enjoyable. The spinner keeps everything neat, prevents tangles, and just adds a little bit of magic to the whole crafting experience. I’m really happy with it and would recommend it to anyone who knits or crochets regularly.

Not the best finish, but works well
If it had a finer grain sandpaper going over it before the varnish, it'd be 5 stars. Unfortunately, mine catches the light in a way that almost looks like a mold bloom on it. I've even got my microscope involved, and it's fine, it's just the grain of the wood in some areas. I don't think I'd bother stripping and redoing it though. It works fine with manufacturer balled yarn, with my wound cakes, I've found I need to do it not long before putting it on the yarn spinner. The central hole closes on mine and always miss the middle. Which works fine until I get near the centre, then it's chaos. Really easy to put together and comes with everything needed to do so.
