These are great additions for our outdoor couches. They are not firm at all. They actually deflate when you lean against them which is the only downside. They poof right back up when you get up. We got a size above what the cover size was. Covers were 24” and we bought inserts that are 26”. I like that there is a zipper allowing you to access the inside. The material is plasticity so it will keep moisture out. I will say these are a good value for the money. I will fill in with smaller decorative pillows for extra lumbar support.

These were the perfect size for my outdoor chairs. They fluffed up nice and had just the right amount of filling to them for the thickness for your back. They are very soft and the quality is great! I had bought these to fit some covers that I bought, as I thought the covers I was buying had the pillows with them. My fault for not paying attention. Although they were not that bad of a price for the quality of them.

I will be replacing all of my outdoor pillow inserts with these! They have a waterproof cover that can be wiped clean, but it's not plastic-y or crunchy. I usually take off my covers a few times a year to wash, and I'm always grossed out by how much dust gets through the fabric and on to the pillow insert. I never feel like the pillow insert is clean enough and often they don't survive the washing machine very well. I'm happy to have a better option that is practical and comfortable as well!

Very pleased with this purchase. The inserts have a nice "give" to them which I did not expect. Yet they puff out again when not in use which makes them look full. Most other cushions are too firm for my taste.

Oubonun 20x20 and 22x22 water proof throw pillow inserts have good qualities and one major draw back. See the pros below - I was so excited about these pillows as I was trying them in my new outdoor pillow covers! They have everything I wanted except enough firmness. I tried the 20x20 insert in my 20x20 pillow covers and leaned back on the pillow and within 2 minutes it was almost flat behind my back. So I did the “interior designer trick” and put the 22x22 insert into my 20x20 pillow covers and…..same thing. The pillow went almost flat. When I say almost flat, I mean literally almost F L A T. I need the support and the space taken up between my back and the furniture for comfort and so my feet reach the ground. These pillows use air to fluff out, so as it’s going flat you hear the air going out in a “psssshhhhhh” noise. I had some crushed memory foam from another pillow and added it to the insert as an experiment. After that the pillow was tight - balloon-like (bc it uses air to fluff up), got the same “psssshhhhh” sound as air was being released, but the extra stuffing did the trick and the pillow stayed twice the thickness compared to before. My husband likes the firmer, thicker pillow, so we’ll keep that one as-is for him. These are good quality and if a nice looking pillow that re-puffs itself is what you need then these are great! Pros: accurate sizing, waterproof removable cover, good quality zippers, good quality overall, slides into pillow inserts easily, puffs up nicely, looks good. Cons: doesn’t stay fluffy/firm during use.

Exactly what I expected... They expand in a few days to full size and fit perfectly in my pillow covers.

Great pillows

I just love these inserts pillows. If you’re keeping them covered during summer and spring seasons, do check a few times for mildew or black spots. It happened to me and I washed and scrubbed them at the black spots never came off. The reason for buying more. Do need to bring them in during winter. I wouldn’t recommend without a doubt.
