That grass took all of 3 weeks after installing to create holes. Wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Wish I could return it but already installed and planted in it...

I like the fabric, but the plastic landscaping spikes are too soft to go to through the fabric and then into the ground. First of all, the 300 foot roll of fabric only comes with 20 landscaping spikes, so it is only reasonable that I would need to purchase more to use most of the fabric. The tip of the first spike broke. Most of the other 20 spikes would not pierce the fabric or bent as I tried to force them through the fabric. (I had the same experience with the other plastic spikes I purchased for the flowerbed.) Once I was done covering the flowerbed with the fabric, using the plastic landscaping spikes, I went and bought 6 inch metal staples and resecured the landscaping fabric. The landscaping fabric cuts easily with a utility knife to create the holes to insert the plants into the ground. This is the first time I have ever used landscaping fabric as a weed barrier, so I am looking forward to see how it works as summer goes.

This weed barrier is a thick plastic, it will prevent weeds and grass. If you are looking for felt or something that allows growth in the garden, this is not it. This is going to prevent growth. Great for laying under stone or sand to make a walkway. A sufficient amount of stakes comes with this weed barrier, but I recommend buying more if you have a large area.

This arrived yesterday and I was immediately impressed with the weight of it, much heavier than what I have used in the past. It's for a parking area at the side of the garage, it's grass right now and it has to come out to the right depth and then it will get this very heavy duty cloth put down and pine bark nuggets on top. It comes with 20 hold down pegs, just enough for the job. I expect it to last a long time. It is not cheap but worth the price. I recommend this product. I will add a picture once it's laid down.
