These are nice, thin and soft but be aware they run small! My son is 4'6", 62 pounds, 8 years old and normally wears a boy's size 8 shirt or a size 8/10 top. IceBreaker size 11/12 (size 12) in this fits him just right, with enough room for a little shrinkage. If he wanted it SKIIIIIN tight, a size smaller would work but it wouldn't fit for longer than 3 months. The size 12 should allow him to wear it a little loose this year and maybe again next year as a skin tight baselayer if the sleeves are long enough.The size 10 baselayer bottoms were perfect for his height to wear right now. He just outgrew size 8 pants and grew into boys size 10 slim. He was fine with the pants being more form-fitting, the way they are intended to be worn.I've been very pleased with the quality of these items and the prices at which they are offered. Incredible deals for kids merino wool baselayers because nothing keeps them quite as warm!

I got this for my 6 year old son, and it fits him great. He's particular to itching things, and after wearing it once, hasn't mentioned the itch at all. I'm excited for this to keep him warm all winter and he already loves wearing it under his outdoor clothes and for PJs.

I bought this one for my 12 year old daughter for her spring skiing trip and it worked great for her. It looks good, feels good and keeps her warm on the mountain. She also has a pair of matching under pants which was bought separately.
