GREAT Pump!!
****6 MONTH UPDATE 12/27/25****** IT IS STILL RUNNING STRONG!!!! I am still of the belief that if you take the time to do your research, and install this correctly, it will last you quite a long time. I had never installed a well pump before this, but yet I have re-plumbed my house with PEX and remodeled my house. Preparation is key to doing this install CORRECTLY and having the right tools to do so. I use the pump daily, for my house water needs, as well as, irrigating my lawn. The pump is easily putting out 15 to 17 GPM and it's not even breaking a sweat doing so. I am VERY happy with the money I saved and the many hours of research to install it correctly. INITIAL REVIEW: I finally got around to replacing my 38 year-old Wayne submersible well pump, needless to say it was very overdue and just a matter of time before it gave out. I did a whole lot of research in comparison of specs for many different brands and sizes of well pumps. I was looking to add capacity for an irrigation system in the near future and this seemed to check all the boxes that I needed. I had never attempted this before and read on to see how I learned to do this the "RIGHT WAY", there is only a right way to do it or it will not perform as expected. This think is a heavy BEAST, so I know it had a beefy copper motor in it. 1.) 1HP with an internal capacitor (not an external control box with the start capacitor). 2.) More than 10 gallons a minute that I was getting with my old pump. 3.) Ability to pump 150+ foot of head pressure. 4.) Solid (heavy and heavy-duty) reliable pump motor. 5.) 18GPM for irrigation purposes. This pump checked all the boxes and then some. I wish I would've taken more pictures during my install, because the install is a very critical part of installing a new well pump and having it last for years to come. I have reason to believe some of the bad reviews on this pump are because people do not do their due diligence to learn how to properly install it. Some of the key points to remember are to tape your wire to the pipe every 2 to 4 feet along the way to keeping it tight to the pipe so it won't chafe on the well walls. Also, I did not use a torque arrestor as when I pulled my old pump, It had disintegrated from the hard water over the years and can trap your pump if installed too close to it. I replaced ridgid schedule 80 PVC that was brittle with 160PSI black poly pipe. My other decision when choosing this pump was that I saw H2O Mechanic on YouTube do a review of one of these Vevor pumps and it performed better than expected. I learned a lot and watched many hours of his videos before attempting this myself. My well is 175 feet deep and produces a TON of water. I set this pump at 150 feet and I'm getting 20 gallons per minute with no issue whatsoever. I also bumped my pressure switch up to 75 pounds as I have all new pet, plumbing, pressure tank, and all the inter-connects are brand new as well. I decided for the price, what do I have to lose? So far, it has been down four months, and I have irrigated heavily with it, running for an hour at a time straight and not had any issues. if it dies, I may go with another brand, but you can't beat a one horsepower pump at this price point as it is an exceptional value as I saved over $400+ by not buying a brand name pump. I am sure somewhere along the lines, these may be the same OEM pumps that you see with the name brand on them selling for much more. So far, I have done at least 30 cycles running it for 1 hours straight for irrigating my yard. At this point, I am exceptionally pleased with this purchase, and I think you will be too. Just take your time, do your research and install it right or it cannot be expected to last.

Irrigation pump in cistern.
Puts out some serious flow and pressure I’m getting 80 psi on a 1” pex 200’ out. Not sure on flow rate but this is from cistern tank. It well. I’ll buy another as spare at this price later one. Wires are 16awg felt that’s a bit thin. I can run pump off a 3kw low frequency inverter so that’s a plus. Startup amps was 15 running was 3 probably because I have it in a tank not a hole

Satisfied customer 1 1/2 HP submersible pump
Installed 1 1/2 HP Vevor submersible 3 wire (no control box) pump today in Texas Hill Country. Used 1 1/4 poly hdpe pipe (ordered from Home Depot) and a 1 1/4 brass check valve that I attached directly to pump with and 1 1/4 Brass XL barbed fitting (bought from Lowes). Worked perfectly so far. Installed by myself (60 years old) dropped it 225 ft in a 275 ft deep well; delivered 23gallons per minute with lots of flow. Ran it non-stop for 1 1/2 hours. So far so good. I decided to buy this pump because reviews were good, and I didn’t want to buy name brand pump for 1k plus, as I didn’t know if well was good or not. I will keep this pump until it goes out. Hopefully many years of use. I don’t know what level the draw down level is. We just bought this property, we pulled old 1 hp pump that was 205 feet with 1 inch galvanized pipe well was drilled in 1985, 275 ft deep, was told it produced 15 to 20 gpm. Motor was replaced they kept old original pump in 2001. More to follow in couple months.

Worth the price
Replaced a 1/2hp pump with this 1hp. Same brand just wanted more PSI. been in 3 months and can tell a difference. Had to take off cord guard bc it wouldn't fit in my 4inch pipe. For the price I had to try it and so far couldn't be happier

I replaced a Red Lion 1/5 HP 12 GPM pump in my well with this pump and it has performed flawlessly for 6 months now. I thought the Red Lion had died but it was just severely clogged with lake debris. This Vevor pump appears to be good quality, solid construction. When I installed it I was concerned with how it would perform because the wires are very small (18 gauge I believe). Although I havent used a flow meter to verify, it doesnt seem to pump as much as the Red Lion but is still more than acceptable. I read the reviews before purchasing and made sure to install a brass check valve as apparently the one in the pump often fails. Overall, this is an excellent pump and for the low price it cant be beat. I will be buying a 1HP Vevor pump for my other well.

Thought my pump was toast as it could not get pressure over 25psi so I looked up pumps through the stores locally and they were from 500 to over 1000 so I looked on Amazon. Bunch of crazy prices then I seen this little beast so I ordered one Under 200 well I pulled the old one up and as you can see in pic it had a hole above the check and yes lots of iron in water but we filter the poo out of it. So I picked up a nylon fitting and all is good. But I will keep this because stuff never go down in price so I will store and use at later date.

Truly impressed! Spent big money for other pumps that didn't last. This mighty pump has tons of pressure and easy to install. The price was so good I bought 2 for back up just incase. Still saving money if God forbid I have to replace.
