Great for running at night
These are a must have when running at night if you are worried about being seen. I purchased the large ones because I wasn't sure if I would be wearing them, or my girlfriend. I also wasn't sure if I would wear them on my ankles or wrist. I cant stress enough how happy I am with going with the large ones. Since they wrap around your ankle or wrist, it doesn't matter how large or small they are since they can overlap. The large ones are almost 15 inches. As far as safety, I have seen a few others, and tried a couple as well. None are as reflective as these. I only have the yellow since they are more reflective. For comfort, I haven't worn them on my skin directly, only over clothing, but I think they will be ok. The backing on the bands are kind of felt like, and I think the more I use it, the more soft it will get.

Back for a couple more!
I bought a pair of these (one package) 2-1/2 years ago. I use them for 8 months of the year when walking my (now just one) dog. I live on a narrow back-country lane with some real dark areas so making sure I'm seen by drivers who should know I'm there anyway is important. These provide good reflection even 300 feet away, so there's plenty of warning. They also do show brightly even in moonlight. They are as good as anything else when it's snowing. They stay put when I put them on even over a heavy coat. The only reason I'm back buying a couple more is that they're not playful-dog-proof.

Good for the price. After hard use, they're starting to fall apart
These are very reflective little bands. They're like slap bracelets. I like how easy it is to put them on. In the last few months, the slap part has been peeling away from the reflective part. I still use them and they still work as long as you put the end that's falling apart on your leg first. I was going to give 3 stars, but decided to boost it to 4 because they have been through a lot. I used them at least 4 days a week for nearly a year in snow, rain and mud. Considering how much I paid for them, I think they've really held up.

Let cars see you.
I assume they work well. I have noticed cars giving me a wider berth now that I wear them. With the clocks changing and my work schedule changing I'm forced to run in the evenings now and its already dark by then. I noticed that all my running clothing is black so I figured some reflectors were a good idea. The only issue I have is that I got the large but after putting a few layers on to run these don't fit around my biceps very well and tend to pop off when running. They fit great and secure when worn on my wrists or ankles though.

They are pop bands
Being a child of the 80's I had some nostalgia effects in picking these out. They are excellently fluorescent and highly visible, the main objective. Being pop bands they are super easy to put on and automatically adjust to whatever they are being wrapped around, which is very nice. But being pop bands, they don't perfectly conform to whatever they are being wrapped around, they keep that original curled shape at the ends and dig into you a little bit. Not that comfortable on bare skin, but fine over clothing/coats, just keep that in mind. Very happy overall, just what they look to be.

Simple, easy to use, could be longer
I ordered these when I started commuting on my (new) bike. They work as advertised - they keep my (dress) pants legs from getting into the chain, they seem to be high-visibility (I guess I'll know they don't work if I get hit by a car) and they're light and easy to carry around. My only gripes are two:1. I left one outdoors overnight, and now it won't stay straight when unrolled. This isn't a show-stopper - I can still put it on my leg using both hands - but it's an irritant.2. I'm wearing these on my biceps and ankles. I'd really like it if they were just a couple inches longer, because as things stand they're too easy to knock off.Overall, I'm very happy with these - I feel like I'm getting what I paid for. If you're biking, or running, or doing anything else that tends to put you at risk - like walking along the road when it gets dark - I recommend these to you. They weight nothing, basically, and they seem like a big win, safety-wise.

Worth getting and using
These are great for all kinds of after-dark outdoor activities - walking, running, riding, you name it. Whether you wear them around your arms or ankles, you'll be seen by drivers and therefore be safer. If worn around your ankles, they have the additional benefit of keeping your pant legs away from your bicycle's chain. Just make sure you get the large size - there's no harm if they're a bit too big, but the medium size is definitely too small for your arms if you're wearing a jacket, or you just have large arms.

Wonderful safety gear
I had the opportunity to run with the orange ones in very dark, rainy conditions. Let me just say, these things were seriously reflective! They were bright even to me, from about the 2 feet from my wrist to my eyes. I'm sure each and every car saw these.Like any pop band, though, they do curl a bit on your wrist, which can be uncomfortable. I wore them *over* a long sleeved jacket and they were not uncomfortable at all. If you store them straight then the curl may relax out of them some and reduce the amount they turn inward.
