Lasted less than a month.
Ordered on July 20th. Installed and system up and running on August 16th. Failed on September 13th after only 4 weeks of operation. Amazon return window closed on August 21. Worst power supply I have ever purchased and I have purchased hundreds. Have had very good success with other StarTech and do not feel this is typical of their products. Submitted an RMA to StarTech. Will have to wait and see.Updated from a 1 Star to a 5 Star on Sep 22nd. I just received notification that StarTech approved my RMA and have shipment of a replacement on backorder until early October. I feel the fast response and not even requesting that I return the defective item at my expense is enough to a 5 Star. I must say I was presently surprised. Radom failures of any product can be expected and I don't fault StarTech for that. But I have to give them credit for their excellent customer service.

Perfect fit, but...
I received it fast and installed it right away. The only issue I had was that plug for the CD/DVD drive wasn't the same so I had to leave it unplugged for now. I don't hardly use it anyway, plus I have one on my laptop to use if needed. I tried very hard to match all of the description to what I needed but didn't realize the different type plug for that one thing. Otherwise I am very happy with it.

Replaces Lite-On PA-4022-6F for Digital Ventura 66MHz PC
I ordered this Startech PS to replace an old Lite-On PA-4022-6F for my vintage Ventura 66MHz Digital PC. It is an exact size fit from the old Lite-On and was an easy reinstall. Even the Power Switch was an exact fit. It has only 4 Molex connectors, where the old one had five, but I only needed four.My old Lite-On PS had failed due to the 12v supply dropping to under 10v, which caused the hard drives to fail initialization. My old Lite-On backup PS (purchased used) also failed the same way (low voltage). That is why I determined to buy a NEW replacement PS. The Startech is running fine for now, but when testing the voltages under load for the Startech, the 5V line was ok, but the 12v line only measured 11.54v. As these PS are generally rated at +-5% (11.4v to 12.6v), it is within tolerance. But I am concerned that the voltage is so low. Generally, a new PS will measure above 12v initially.Other than this low 12v line, the PS has completely restored my Vetura to working condition.

I purchased this to replace an AcBel HB9009 300W power ...
I purchased this to replace an AcBel HB9009 300W power supply that failed after about six years of continuous service in a PowerSpec B629 desktop computer. For various reasons, I elected to purchase the 350W StarTech unit, including making sure the available amperage at each voltage and rail was adequate and because it has a few more connectors. Even so, I needed a single Molex-to-SATA adapter to connect the second HDD I have installed. It works perfectly so far (about an hour). I was very concerned about this replacement because I cannot find any web-site anywhere that indicates what an appropriate replacement for the HB9009 and/or for a PowerSpec B629 was, but this did the job and I wanted to let anyone in the same predicament know that this worked for me.

A great decision
The power supply was easy to install and has worked for the last month with no problems. I was originally worried about buying the power supply but it was a great decision. This one is great I will by one from here anytime.

Replacement power supply for my Lenovo h405
After 8 years my Lenovo h405's 180 watt power supply failed (thermal repeated cutoff). I chose a StarTech replacement power supply because it had the same physical configuration (rear-mounted fan). I chose a 400 watt replacement for the additional capacity and because it had additional connectors (extra cost adapters not required). Installation was straightforward, requiring a Phillips screwdriver, diagonal cutters (to snip existing cable ties) and replacement cable ties (to re-bundle cables). Leave the supply's power switch on ("1") and your front panel power switch will operate normally. Slightly greater fan noise than the 180 watt original power supply, but not objectionable.

beware import VAT and expense to UK
Very good new replacement PSU! The mains switch is soldered; needed to cut it off and add spades. Took about 3 weeks to arrive; maybe reasonable, since coming from Canada. USA mains lead included, not UK, but have plenty here already. BUT disappointed that had to pay about £16 additional extra import VAT and admin cost; thought that was all INCLUDED in the purchase price from Amazon.

Works as intended
This power supply replaces a dead one in an older computer. The connections were straight forward. The fit was perfect. The power supply is relatively quiet. The original computer had two dvds one of which was a bluray/DVD player, the other a regular DVD RW. The replacement power supply had a single DVD cable hookup. If I wanted both I would have to look for an extension with two hookups. I can survive with one. Good replacement for its price

Very Noisy
It has been more than 2 months since I installed this power supply. The noise level is high, especially at night you can hear very annoying sounds from the power supply. I would return it if I can, because the return windows was closed already.

Good buy for an older computer. Experienced users only.
Replaced a failing power supply unit in a 12 year old computer. Delivered as requested. Performs better than the original unit.
