excellent
excellent this binocular provides a sharp, clear, image.its compact and light. this replaces another high priced binoculars, "beese". ps why is asurion offering a 2yr or 3yr warranty when the manufacturer offers a 10 yr warranty?

Outstanding pocketable binoculars
I purchased these binoculars just before leaving on a trip to New Zealand, where we would be viewing birds and other wildlife. They have outstanding optics and clarity. They are small enough to put in a small jacket pocket, but in spite of their small size, they somehow let in an incredible amount of light. At some birding venues, larger binoculars were provided by the venue (likely lower quality), but none had an image as bright or clear as these. While I am not an expert in binoculars, and am not a "birder" , my research on binoculars led me to believe that all else being equal, the amount of light that larger binoculars let in is the main advantage to the larger size. At least in daytime, the image with these binoculars was incredibly bright. I did not use them at night, so there could be more of an issue if they will be used in lower light conditions. Like some others, I was a bit disappointed they do not come with protective caps.

leica 8x20 BCA
Coming from south africa, one hardly sees a decent pair of binoculars, least of all these ones. This is my third pair after the first was stolen. The 8x are a nice alternative to the 10 which I have been using for years. But as age comes on and eyesight deteriorates the eights make a super alternative to the tens. Extremely compact when folded up. Very happy with this purchase, would buy again.

Excellent optics in a portable package
Excellent optics in a portable package. Convenient to carry - when folded they easily fit into a coat pocket or a small purse - light enough to hold steady - shake is not an issue. Crystal clear images. Easy to use with glasses. Expensive but worth it.

Fantastica imagen

Small but great
Leica do know how to make good optics, and these are no exception. Pretty small so easily slipped in your pocket when out and about. Their small size means they can be a bit fiddly to line up perfectly with your eye line, but once you have got used to them they are easy enough to use.

Wow!
I already owned a Leitz 10 x 40, dating from the late 1950s, and it has been fascinating to see the changes that Leitz has made since then. In the 1950s there were no computers with which to calculate exactly the best performance and weight of the lens profiles, no easy way of washing out the air inside the binoculars and replacing it with nitrogen and little non-military availability of advanced lightweight alloys. On top of that, the method of attaching the lanyard was fairly primitive, leading to the binoculars crashing to the ground while crossing the Lairig Ghru and resulting in unsightly damage which spoilt their look (while not impairing their optics). Nearly seventy years later there can be very little that Leitz can do to make even one single improvement. Sad for the Leitz engineers but marvellous for us. Having used the 10 x 40s for over 50 years, I find it difficult to believe that I now have binoculars with half the weight, even better optics and even better mechanical design. Thank you, Leitz!

Lightweight, good focus adjustment, easy to carry.
I & my wife enjoy observing nature in all its aspects; these binoculars suit us ideally. I am looking forward to trying them at the theatre also - am going to see ‘Joseph & his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Millennium Centre at the Cardiff Bay next month.
