I would purchase this book repeatedly, but this arrived in poor condition. There are purple splotches on the front and back covers. Corners of the hardcover book are bent and damaged. I expected much better quality for paying full price.Superb content - awful condition

I checked out a few of the storybook bibles here on Amazon before I came across this one. I am so glad Amazon has the "Look Inside" feature. After viewing the few sample pictures, I knew immediately "The Story for Little Ones" was perfect for my 2 and 1/2 year old. The illustrations are so sweet and colorful, and the bible passages are a great length for toddlers. The book is nice and large too, which makes the vivid pictures even more impressive. Yet, it isn't too heavy, running about 100 or so pages. I think this is absolutely the perfect gift to give a young family about to have a baby. My mother-in-law habitually buys full length bibles such as Precious Moments, then has them personalized before gifting to a new baby. While they are certainly lovely, thoughtful gifts, they are also not something I would dare let my child handle for several years due to those tissue thin pages. Also, having very few pictures, these bibles are not very engaging to my kids. "The Story" on the other hand really captures my little guys attention. So, to all the grandparents out there who love to give bibles to new babies, I am talking to you!! Buy this one! There is a nice page in the front for you to simply write the child's name and/ or leave a little message from Grandma.

Ordered this book for a baptism gift. I am really impressed with the quality of this book. It's a sturdy book - perfect for a lasting keepsake gift. The illustrations are very well done - nice and colorful! I really like the layout. The stories are brief synopses of the popular biblical stories (in order, I might add) that are easy to understand. My favorite part of the book is the end of each story. There's always a two sentence wrap-up of the story's moral and how you can apply it to your life. For example, at the end of Samson and Delilah, the moral is "Samson asked God for help. You can ask God for help too." I just really like how cleanly each story is tied up and its message of hope. I'm really happy with this purchase!

I love this story bible! The illustrations are beautifully done and captivating. At the end of each story, there is a highlighted sentence indicating how the store relates to each of us. This is a great "in-between bible" for pre-schoolers. The stories are a little longer than typical board book bibles so the messages can be presented with more depth but they aren't so long that your little one looses interest. I'd say it's probably best for 3-5 year olds. But my 2 year old enjoys looking at the pictures and I can usually get through one story. She doesn't sit through much more with the simpler board book bibles.

Love this book! The stories are the perfect length for 2-4 year olds. The stories keep their attention and they like the pictures. I purchased the coordinating curriculum, as well as the books for children and older kids and, just like that, I have a simple but yet thorough and enjoyable Wednesday night church program. Easy peasy! The kids enjoy it and are learning God's Word. Perfect!

I got this Bible for my 3 1/2 yr old son to begin seeing the stories from the Bible from front to back. This Bible has lovely pictures, and stories that are quick enough to still maintain his attention. It is also a book that he will certainly grow into more as a few more years pass before he will require a more detailed, older kid oriented Bible. I know it is hard to pick the stories of the Bible and figure out what to include in a very concise, short format. I think that the authors did a great job in the task of keeping it simple and sweet for young kids, while conveying the entire Bible in pieces.

As a book editor, I was 100% satisfied and impressed with this book. I purchased it for a friends daughter and thought the illustrations and stories in the book were done professionally, yet age appropriate for children. I searched through many other children's books that were not nearly as good. I was so happy when I got this! If you want a book of Bible stories that your children will love to read with you and to you, this is it! Beautiful colors, print size is not too big or too small. Sentence structure is well done (sentences aren't too long). I would love to order a set of these for my Mom's Sunday school class and pass them out to the children at the end of the quarter. Great purchase!

Pictures and stories appealing to young children.Grandaughter who is normally very choosy about stories insisted on having several stories re-read.

The illustrations are beautiful and the layout is nice but I find the story selection to be hit or miss.
