I am a bit of a tea snob, I love loose leaf and spend a lot of time and effort on my tea setup and tastings. The twinnings English Breakfast tea bags are a guilty pleasure. They do not compare to freshly prepared loose leaf tea, but these are just so darn CONVENIENT! If I am in a hurry and REALLY want some tea without all the hassle of loose leaf this is the tea I always grab. Flavor - This has a strong and bold flavor. There are floral undertones and what tastes a little of honey. It compares well to the finest english breakfast loose leaf teas I have tried. The flavor is very robust and gives me a bit of a pick-me-up in the morning. Smell - It is what I imagine freshly toasted bread slathered in honey would smell like. Very pleasing and smells great! Packaging - Very standard tea satchel packaging. The innards is foil lined to avoid any leeching into the packaging. The tea leaves stay inside the bag for the most part, I have had occasional residue left in the cup but that is common with similarly priced bags. Overall Thoughts - This tea is great. The price on Amazon is better than what I find in brick and mortar stores. I highly suggest this tea for anyone who wants a full bodied tea at a great price! I hope you found this review helpful!

I'm a huge tea drinker and enjoy the English Breakfast style tea as my favorite overall daily drink of choice. I've tried all the English Breakfast style teas by virtually every maker and then tried a 'taste off' between the teas. I've tasted and compared the main brands to include Twinings, Bigelow, Ashby's, Celestial Seasonings, and a few other smaller brands. Twinings was noticably the most flavorful, smooth, AND consistant. The Celestial Seasonings offering was the most tangy and citrus tasting - more like an Earl Grey. If you like English Breakfast style tea, go with the original British tea by Twinings, it's the best of the English Breakfast group. I've also tried the Twinings Irish Breakfast tea - it's too tangy and a bit bitter - I much prefer the taste of English Breakfast. If you're wondering about choosing between the two, select the English Breakfast, you won't be disappointed. I'm glad I found this on Amazon, what a savings over the local grocery store prices - if you find on 'sale', you'll get an average cost of around 8 cents a tea bag - compare that to your morning cup of Starbucks!

I've been drinking this tea for years. It's the best on the market for a reasonable price. Since I drink a lot of this tea, I've always tried to buy this larger sized package to save a bit of money. But the larger size is not sold in very many places, so I end up buying the smaller size for what feels like too much money - plus I just have to buy a lot of them. Now I've hit upon the perfect formula: buy these larger boxes in bulk at super low prices on a regular basis. I was just reminded of what a great deal this is because I'm on vacation and had to buy the smaller packages here - for a package of 20, I paid almost what I pay here for 50. If you drink a lot of tea, you can go wrong here.

I enjoy black tea that is rich but mellow in taste. Twinings has a great English Breakfast tea that really satisfies. It is never bitter or lacking flavor. Just an FYI, they have a Christmas tea that is lovely also.

I love Twinings Prince of Wales and Earl Grey but wanted something a little more full bodied, so I tried English Breakfast and English Afternoon. Both were excellently flavored, but this tea could be bought for 4.34 per box of 50 thru Amazon. So, I put it on subscribe and save. I was always a coffee drinker until recently, but with this tea, I don't even miss my coffee. I know I should be doing green tea as the caffiene has started messing with my blood pressure but at least this tea has half the caffiene of equal coffee and I have come to like it better. English Afternoon has a very slight hint of orange which this tea does not. I wish I had known about Twinings teas years ago.

I love this tea, it is just strong enough and not at all bitter allowing me to drink it straight with no sweetener. I drink a few cups a day and always hunted for the store with the best price on the 50-count boxes. The pricing locally started creeping up and the big boxes became hard to find. I am so happy to find this on Amazon at such a great price and hope it stays consistent. This is a big staple item for me. Very happy!

Unfortunately tea taste is very bad, not same quality as the UK production. Definitely taste worse than what we normally get. I think there’s something wrong with the product.
