Second set—the first set lasted more than 10 years through a multiple dog, and longhair cat house hold I do prefer to switch out to the ceramic number 10 blade as it stays sharp and doesn’t get hot as much. I cut my dogs hair every 10-12 weeks and these are so reliable. I can be done in 45 minutes on my two 20lb poodle mixes. I never, or rarely use the clipper guides using my fingers or a comb but when I do use a clipper guide I still use a comb. I am not a groomer but a retired vet tech, these are similar to some of the ones we had (besides Wahl and also American made) the reason my last pair finally quite was just the motor seizing—we opened it and could not really service it cost effectively, the motor is housed in plastic housing so I think I dropped/threw them in cupboard one too many times maybe?! 😬 still I think it was almost 12 years of use 🎉!!!!

Although it seems to trim our pets ok the unit heats up too much & we would like to return for credit please? Cannot use at this time

I just received these clippers and used them for the first time today. I'm a first time groomer and looked at many different brands and decided on these based on reviews and cost. I'm not disappointed and my first experience was a good one. Until I get used to them I'm using the combs and then will graduate to using different blades. My boy is used to being groomed so he had no problem with the noise, actually, the hair dryer is louder than the clippers. Overall, I would say they are relatively quiet. The nice thing about the combs is that they don't get hot and protect your pet, but I did purchase the cool spray as well. As others have said, they are an economical first buy and I'm happy with my purchase.

I have 3 dogs and I groom all of them myself. I continue to improve over time and so do my clippers. I bought this set to substitute for a wahl clipper and this clipper is quieter and feels better in my hand. I also feel this clipper clogged with dog hair less often then my other clipper as my maltichon tends to clog clippers quickly since the hair is silky and fine. This clipper is nice, and has a long cord so I dont have trouble reaching the dog. I did notice that this clipper tends to unplug on me as I move around and I dont like that, but I do feel that with time and the cord becomming more flexible this may happen less. Recommend this clipper.

I chose this dog clipper after reviewing numerous models. I was leaning toward the more expensive clippers because I have to clip my long coated retriever every couple weeks due to her extensive allergies. I didn't want to invest too much if some of the less favorable reviews proofed true; primarily the problem with over heating blades and the quick change blades not staying closed during clipping. One thing I did was order the ceramic replacement blade which was suppose to reduce the heat problem by 50%. I also ordered the cool care plus spray. I've only used them twice so far, but I have to say these clippers performed far better than my old ones. The Andis did "cut like butter", unlike my cheaper clippers which constantly jammed up on the thick undercoat. The Andis clippers did get warm, but not any warmer than my old clippers, which may have been due to the ceramic blade. The cool care spray worked great, both in cooling the blades and cleaning them. Even though I stopped to spray the blades, I still "shaved" half an hour off the time. And the detachable blade made cleaning a breeze and I had no problem with them opening during clipping. All-in-all I am very pleased with this purchase and I highly recommend them.

Good ran ok but slow. Was good at first but buy the time I got half way through my standard poodle hairbit got dull and unit itself got very hot enough so had to shut down to cool but the blades did not last through the cut. Would not recamend these at all.

This clipper has saved me a lot of money on grooming. I am no expert at using it but it takes the fur off my little terrier. I also used this to shave 2 long haired cats - one that was very matted and it worked wonderfully. I've had it about a year and it has held up well. It comes with lots of guides and scissors. I have not replaced the blade yet and am hoping it is not too difficult. It does get hot after a while and I assume that's fairly normal.

I purchased this clipper in June of 2022 and they already don't work very well. They were great until now, the clippers have no power. Vry disappointed I thought they would lasted longer. I have one 50 pound doodle that I clip once every 6-8 weeks. I purchased a new blade, thinking that was the problem but I guess the problem is the clippers themselves.

Was very pleased with clippers - had to purchase adaptor to use with item because came from USA Had to contact manufacturer because the clippers got very hot to the touch (waiting for reply) ! !
