Good alternative to steroid shots.
As soon as I put this on my foot and wore it for a couple of hours, I felt instant relief. I have had plantar fasciitis for several years. It moves from one foot to the other. I have done countless steroid shots in both of my feet. Talk about a very painful experience. After this last shot I have decided not to get them again due to the pain. which I get is my own fault, I wait until I just cant stand the pain in my foot and then go which makes the shot 10 times worse. I have tried stretching, icing it, you name it I have tried it. Ran across this and the reviews were great, so I thought I would give it a shot for as cheap as it was. I love the sock, it is light weight enough to wear under your sock and with a shoe one. Can be worn at night without any issues. I take it off only to shower and to wash the sock if necessary (hand wash only-my recommendation). But I have started to notice I have pain in other areas of my foot, I am not sure if the sock is too small or if the compression is too much in certain areas. But the sock itself is well worth the money spent in fees to the Dr's office and steroid shots. Give it a try, cant hurt for that price.

Two normal-size feet for the first time in months--but put on carefully to avoid ripping heels
This is my second update. First I gave it 5 stars, but then when the heel showed signs of ripping, I took off 2 stars. But now I am putting back a star because I think these are better than the other product I tried, Plantar Fasciitis Foot Compression Sleeves, which I had to return; although they seemed to be better made, with a smoother material, they irritated my skin terribly and were so tight at the top that my toes went numb. So now I am ordering another pair of these (I am still using the first), only now I will put them on more carefully so as not to rip the heels..Here is what I initially wrote: My feet and ankles have been swollen, probably from too much sitting at the desk. Also I injured one foot with a bad bruise and even more swelling and soreness. I spent a long time looking for the right product. I wasn't expecting much from these. I wear a size 7.5 shoe and got the Medium. I waiting till the morning to try them on, figuring that my feet might be less swollen then. At first they seemed tight but then I was able to easily pull them on over my heel because of the way they are constructed, with stretchy areas. It took a little getting used to but I've been wearing them for 7 hours now. I took them off to take a shower (after having them on about 3 hours) and for the first time in months I looked down at 2 normal sized feet. I was very happy about that, and they also relieve the discomfort of stretched skin that comes with the swelling as well as a feeling of support and an easing of the pain. Now it's just a question of seeing how long they last with wear and washings.

Sizing is off
Unfortunately, I have only been able to wear this 3 times for not more than 15 min a time and I missed the return window, otherwise I would have exchanged for next size up. I measured my foot and it corresponded with shoe size suggestion. The first time I wore this for my PF, my foot started cramping horribly after 15 min. I figure it was just a bad day for my foot. Waited a couple of weeks and tried again with the same result. So my foot is now mostly bette and I thought I would try again to use it just to get some extra support. After 20 minutes, my nearly recovered foot started killing me again. I can only think it is because it is too small and compresses too much. I wear a 10.5 to 11 ladies tennis shoe and got a large. I wish I would have gotten and x-large.

Great little sleeve. Only one.
Has good support and it is light, will go easily under socks. The comfort is good but after 6-8 hours, depending on how much I'm on my feet, I have to take them off and put my slippers on. This is one of my first compression or gradual compression socks, sleeves, so I do not have any experience with these things. So, maybe ask me around spring/summer when I generally do not wear socks at all...

Foot Pain? try this!
My podiatrist diagnosed C-N condition in my foot causing pain in my foot along the side. I am very active & it was slowing me down. He gave me some foot exercises & the promise of a shot when I wanted it. My daughter had something similar & recommended this product & altho it did not claim to fix anything like this, I wear it whenever exercising or doing a lot of walking & find the pain disappearing. Thank you!! Tho difficult to get on at first with arthritic hands, I now use baby powder all over my foot & that makes it much easier.

Supportive
Offers great support! I wear size 6 1/2 shoes and the small fits very snugly throughout the foot/ankle area. A little too much compression -- can't wear for long periods. (I think the directions state no more than 8 hours, but I can't make it that long.) I have tiny ankles so it is a little loose at the top, but supports the tendon enough to wear around the house or for short outings on good days. (I have subluxation of my peroneal tendon. I need support always but when my tendon is having a good day, it is nice to have another option to wear for support besides my brace.) I ordered about 4 different brands and this was the most supportive and had the best fit for a small foot. The other braces I tried were too loose -- especially at the top of the sleeve.
