This is the only product that helps my husband's face after shaving. It's not greasy, smells nice, light on the face, moisturizing to get his skin softer and more youthful. Totally recommend it.

I have sensitive skin so I try not to shave daily. Having said that, I've had to switch from an aftershave LOTION to a aftershave BALM so avoid the burning sensation from alcohol-based lotions. For years, I didn't realize that there were balms that didn't burn my face. So after reading several reviews online, I opted for a few to try out. So far, L'Occitane has been the clear winner. - L'Occitane (Cade) - Castle Forbes (Lime) - Tobac (lotion) - Proraso (Cypress & Vetyver) Since Proraso was in easily available & reviews were good, I went with that. It's ok, and really didn't wonder if there were better options for my sensitive skin. But when I started running out of Proraso "Cypress & Vetyver" (OMG, what a great, mild smelling balm!), I began searching reviews again for a second option. Well, Proraro & Castle Forbes are cremier than L'Occitane, like hand lotion. L'Occitane is more like toothpaste, so thicker. I use a double-razor shaver so I get REALLY close. Well, the first two worked at a "6" (1-10, with 10 being the best). I made a mistake when I ordered Tobac because I accidentally ordered the LOTION instead of the BALM, so it left burn marks on my face (ouch!). L'Occitane was awesome! I used it alone, and over Proraso & Castle as a band-aid because it was thicker like toothpaste. I give it a "9". Why not a "10"? Because it kinda has a baby powder scent to it which isn't as manly as I like, lol. But who cares as long as it treats my sensitive skin well. L'Occitane is outstanding! I'm still trying out a few others to have (2) in my arsenal, depending on mood or outing. I might stick with Proraso balm (Cypress & Vetyver) for good performance & outstanding mild scent. Maybe this will help someone.

I started using the Cade After Shave Balm two years ago. Sometimes I get bored and would get a different after shave, but I always end up throwing away that product after 2 uses, and going back to the Cade after shave balm. The balm is very soothing, it absorbs beautifully, the fragrance is very pleasant - elegant and clean, a small amount goes a long way, and I haven't had any issues with skin irritation since I started using this balm. Since, I have also started using the Cade Shaving Cream, which is also excellent, and the Cade EDT. The EDT does not have the same fragrance, however it does compliment the balm very good. The only issue I have with the EDT is that it does not last very long. But, this is a review for the Cade After Shave Balm and I can't recommend it enough. Try it, you will not regret it! It will most probably end your search for THE after shave product for you as well.

L'Occitane Cade after shave balm isn't cheap but the quality and performance of this product appropriately reflects the price. It soothes razor burn and heals the skin after shaving better than most products out there. If you decide to shave at night and wear it to bed, your skin will look and feel fantastic in the morning. It also combats dry skin which makes it great in the winter time as a face lotion too. The scent of this balm is absolutely wonderful. I'm not quite sure how to describe it but its light, creamy, aromatic and I can't see it offending anyone. L'Occitane also makes a Cade EDT and shaving cream. The EDT is OK but it's much sweeter and woodier smelling than the balm. And the shaving cream has it's own scent altogether. I don't understand why all three smell so different from each other but out of the three, the balm smells the best. It goes on silky smooth and has the consistency of suntan lotion. For the most part, it's a non-greasy formula but it will leave your skin feeling just a bit greasier than other balms. A pea sized amount is all you really need. Anything more than that and you'll over do it. Used sparingly, one tube should last up to a year. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase and I'd recommend this product to anyone.

I was trying for years to get something that will make my skin smooth after a shave and this is doing the job. No red skin or irritation. Of course, that I am combining this product with a safety razor and using a proraso sensitive skin shaving cream, but this after shave one is doing the magic of stopping the irritation completely. Yes, it can be pricy and expensive but if you have really sensitive skin this product will definitely help you all the way, but remember to stay away from the regular razor and regular shaving gels. The scent is good as well but it wont last long.

This nourishing creme replenishes lost oils in your skin from hot water, environment etc. If you shave with a blade, or if you shave with power razor this rare post shave crème will make your face feel softer. The aroma is warm, cozy, friendly, and exquisite.
