American Crafts Modern D-Ring Album 12"X12"-Key Lime

I have just finished sorting and making over 180 photo pages of our families photos. Finding an affordable and sturdy set of photo albums was the real challenge. These albums are easy to use. The D-ring binder style is excellent and the cost is the best part. I was able to select a few of the "favorite photos" for an expensive album but was frustrated with the strap type albums and the add-a-peg style was more difficult to manage and with that many pages, what to do? The best part however is the covers which allow for personalization to each person or the content of the album. Not quite as "cushy" but the sturdy and easy use coupled with the ability to store a large volume of pages including the plastic page covers at a reasonalbe price makes this my choice for all future photo storage projects! I definately think it is worth a try. It is not fancy unless YOU make it so. But it is overall the best I have found. Holds the standard 3 hole 12x12 plastic sleeves with pages housing photos on both sides of the mounting pages. Shop about for these as the prices vary from store to store yet all are the same quality.

I needed a 3 ring,12x12 binder for an album I'm making. It had to be cheap as I'm on a budget, but be of decent quality. This binder is exactly that. It's mainly made out of thick cardboard, which arrived perfect for me. I thought it was a bit plain, but the good thing is you can easily paint and decorate it to your liking.

My fault for not reading the reviews and didn't expect it to be a cardboard cover. It did arrive in perfect condition and now I understand the versatility of it (you can decorate it to your liking). Will figure out how to decorate it - it leaves alot up to your imagination! I think I can make this work - unsure if I'll look to order more in the future (it depends how it holds up).

I am NOT a scrapbooker - so I'll just leave an honest review and make sure you know what I used this product for. I wanted a place to put keepsakes for my daughters and husband (e.g., "firsts" like pictures, invitations, etc., drawings, etc.). I like symmetrical anything, so the fact that these were 12x12 was attractive to me. I didn't want to pay a lot of money, because all I really wanted was semi-organization to all the papers and small keepsakes that I had lying around. These scrapbooks were fine for that purpose. Now, and I'm probably doing this wrong (and I don't much care) - so I'll say that when you add pages to this book, the pages sink out of the album when you pick it up. Too much, too heavy...I don't know if that's normal. So, I'm giving it 5 stars but telling you that small thing (which is slightly annoying) because I'm not sure whether that matters to anyone else.

Disappointing. Using one of them although not very happy with it. Positive is that the D rings are very good and come together in a way that will not result in the halves not meshing. The less than positive. The 12 x 12 pages seem thin. They do NOT include any insert in the pages. The supplied pages are sized just slightly smaller than the cover. The 12 x 12 refill pages for 4x6 photos is larger than the front and back covers, so they extend out. The front and back covers are held to the spine by cloth that is wrapped around the last few inches of the covers. That material seems too thin to hold up very long. The front and back covers have no cloth, vinyl or other covering. It is bare board (cardboard?) that the user is expected to decorate or somehow protect from handling smudges. Maybe these were intended to be a crafts project rather than a ready to use album. If used for crafting, they may meet the need. Just don't put anything heavy in the supplied 12 x 12 pages. I'll not buy these again and may send one of the two back to Amazon. I opened one, so I'll keep or throw it away.

I needed an album that has customizable covers and could hold the 27+ page of over 100 6x6 make n takes from last year's So Cal Shop Hop for scrapbooking. I have them all in either 12x12 (4-6x6 pockets) or full 12x12 sheet protectors and they fit perfectly in this album. I was a little conerned whether or not all the pages would fit in the book, but this is the perfect size to fit what I needed. I am looking forward to creating the custom covers to compliment the pages and create a wonderful album with all the memories.

Cheaply made. It is just pressed cardboard. Not edging, just raw pressed board. Shipped by itself with just a label stuck on it...no box for protection. Arrived damaged. I am returning it. Greatly disappointed for the cost.

These are perfect for scrapbooking. I have about 10 of them and will keep on buying as needed. Perfect size and very sturdy. I love how you don’t have to mess with those little screws in regular scrapbooks. I threw those away and switched to these.

Great solid binder ... works

An excellent alternative to the increasingly expensive project life albums currently on the market. The cover is bare cardboard, so not fully protected, but is ideal for personal decoration. I love it.

Ich habe einige Alben, auch teurere, Avery ich komme immer wieder auf dieses zurück. Erstens ist es für knapp unter 20 Euro relativ günstig und zweitens ist es von allen Fabrikaten das stabilste. Das liegt u.a. auch an dem aufgeklebten Stoff am Rücken. Der Pappkarton ist halt nicht so schick, aber man kann ihn ja noch verzieren. Meiner Meinung nach das Beste Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

I was initially disappointed that the album was made of cardboard BUT when I realised that I could create my own cover, I was absolutely ecstatic! My creativity can now spill out on the cover as well as the inside now! Have saved this seller, as I will definitely be buying more of these!

I'm using this to store stamps, embellishments, etc on my IKEA Kallax, instead of in my ScrapRack. It's great for this purpose as well as an album for traditional or Project Life layouts. The cover is grey chipboard so it's meant to be covered in patterned paper and decorated.I've purchased American Crafts D-Ring albums before so I know the quality is good. The best part was the amazing price since I purchased as an Add On item.
