Michelin Green Guide South Korea (Green Guide/Michelin) Paperback – January 16, 2012

I am a very experienced independent traveler who had used many Michelin Green Guides over the years. I find the mobile edition, being viewed on an iPad Mini 4, iOS 9.3, to be awful. To begin with, stars show up as "aaa aa a" attached to the end of the site's name, making them hard to find. And the maps aren't clearly linked to the location.Where the content is concerned, I don't like the format of having hotels, restaurants, etc. included in each chapter. I buy Green Guides for detailed information about sites.I am tempted to buy the paper guidebook to see if it works better. Otherwise, I'll stick with my Lonely Planet shook, which works better.

This travel guide is a good starting point for everyone who is planning to travwl to Korea. It is actually not very well organised but still useful to get basic information about main cities and main seightseeing.

I think this book will help to foreigner for trip to Korea.If you have a plan to visit Korea, I recommend you will visit Tapsa(temple) on Mai-mountain.

I've been using the Green Guides for years and have yet to be disappointed. This is one of their newest. It seems to me there is a bit more practical information than in other Green Guides I've used. Their "star system" is the best I've seen for trip planning. While their tastes in travel match mine very well, if you aren't oriented to museums, temples, palaces and other cultural sights, you might find this guide useful but maybe not as good a fit as other guides.By the way, we were very pleasantly surprised by almost every aspect of our trip to South Korea. The people are very friendly and very honest. This country should rank much higher as a travel destination. If you've never been, you have a treat in store!

This travel book was very helpful in many ways. For me, never having been to South Korea, the book provided me with information on sightseeing, dining, hotels, shopping, transportation, language, culture, history and maps. Without it, I would have been lost. Since I am planning to travel again to South Korea, I am reading it everyday.

Bought for a gift for my boss who moved to South Korea to teach english, and she loved it! All the maps and guides she purchased all came in Korean or were not detailed enough for her. She loves it!

A great introduction to South Korea, with an easy-to-follow layout that identifies the must-sees as well as sights for the more experienced South Korea traveller or those with more time. Purchased this book as our first to plan a trip around South Korea and we feel it has done a good job introducing us to the culture and the regions.

I was somewhat disappointed with this Guide. It could be better covering the history and culture of Korea, and the maps of the various districts are very hard to reconcile with hotel locations, or even more, good and not-so-good locations.After spending a week in Seoul I think I could write a better section on the city.

En la línea moderna de las guias Michelin.Parece mejor que otras modernas pero al no haber precedente no es posible comparar. Los planos son aceptables pero se esperaría mas de los planos Michelin. Muy útil a la hora de valorar rápidamente la importancia de las atracciones turísticas.

Das Buch ist sehr informativ, hilfreich und aktuell. Ich finde nur das Inhaltsverzeichnis schwach, im Gegensatz zu den vielen anderen Michelinführern, die ich benutzt habe, und ich fände es besser, wenn das Buch etwas über Nordkorea berichten würde, insbesondere weil es darüber so wenig zuverlässige Literatur gibt.

Decent overview of Korea but found online websites to be a better resource.

宿舎や食堂まで記載し、写真が多い。『地球の歩き方』と質的に同じ。詳細さから言うと、歩き方の勝ち。その上、釜山の地図が、印刷の間違いのため、２枚が同じものが印刷されているという信じられないミスがあった。アマゾンは本を替えてくれたが、買えた本も同じあやまり。ミシュラン社にメールを送るも返事なし。いつから、ミシュラン社は、信頼できないいい加減な会社になったのか。
