Great story with lots of heart
I got this and book 1 from the library because they sounded good, and found out I had already read both! But it was a lot of fun to revisit Seaview Key. These stories have a lot of different emotions and problems to deal with. Seth has moved here to start over, and he rescues a woman drowning in the Gulf. He later finds out this is Abby, his friend's childhood girlfriend. His friend Luke is now married to her former best friend from school. Abby is also working to get permits to build so.e houses on Seaview Key. There is a lot going on in here. The pace is more leisurely and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with a character oriented storyline with some suggestions of steam, but nothing in depth. The characters are vivid and believable. If you like your contemporary romances with complex issues and a whole bunch of characters in a small town, then this is for you! Just read book 1 first! Enjoy!

Sherryl NEVER disappoints
I am never in my car without a book on CD, so I feel I'm something of an expert when it comes to clarity, the skill of the narrator, and so forth. This was just perfect.I love Sherryl Woods, and I so enjoy her Seaview Key Series! We had a hint of who Abby was in previous books, and here she is, and as though she were a real person, I couldn't wait to meet her. And she did not disappoint. What is it about Sherryl that makes her plots so real? She is never sappy, she is never "over the top," she never flags. I always think I'm going to run in to one of her characters--and this book was no exception.I will not do spoilers here, but suffice to say that if you are a fan of the Seaview Key series, you will LOVE this book. And if you enjoy your books on CD, you will love it any more.Thank you, Sherryl!

Home to Seaview Key
This is the second book in the Seaview Key series and the series should be read in order. This book is mainly about Hannah's childhood friend Abby and her attempt to find happiness by coming back to her childhood home at Seaview Key. There she meets an ex-soldier Seth Landry and finds romance - or does she. There is also a plot about Hannah's worries about her possible recurrence of breast cancer and her daughter's pregnancy. There was a lot going on in this book but it was a good read with a happily every after ending.

A Good Book for Your Summer Reading
This second book about Seaview Key ( a small community) was very interesting. The author deals with developing property in the community and the concerns that the town council, the merchants in town and the people of the have with development and growth, as well as environmental issues. The romance within the story is cute. There's also the resurrection of an old friendship with is now on shaky ground. The author developed a good romantic story line with some very interesting information about living in a small community and economic and environmental impact to home property development.

Another Woods winner
Although there was a wait between the first and second novels, this one could stand alone. As usual with her books the characters keep you reading. The reader is drawn into the story as you keep reading knowing it will all work out in the end but thinking up your scenarios as you read for how it might turn out. If you haven't read Hannah and Luke's Story, read it next. Nothing will be lost reading them out of order as there are in some series.

When you think it's done sucking, it sucks some more!
Ordinarily, I LOVE her books. With this title, I was searching to see WHEN she had written it because it reads very much like a first attempt at a novel. The fact that it's second in a series (or perhaps more, I'm not sure) only makes it that much harder to digest. There seems to be more going on with the old couple (the one from the previous book) than this particular couple. The characters are unbelievable, and even more, UNLIKEABLE!! These ladies are supposed to be in the 40s yet they're acting like they're immature 20-year-olds. There's no chemistry between this book's couple and too much insecurity on the part of the older couple's female to even care about them. Every time I think "surely it'll get better" it gets worse. For example, insecure female barging into husband's office (he's a DOCTOR!) to confront the "heroine" in this book is above and beyond ridiculous. Come on!! The writing is fine. She's dotted her I's and crossed her Ts but the dialogue and the way these people behave is ludicrous, obnoxious and an insult to readers (and WOMEN!) everywhere. Thanks god it was FREE or else I would be demanding a refund!! I'm not even sure I'll be able to finish this that's how terrible it is.

Another good book from S
Another good book from S. Woods but the problem I have is that sometimes I feel writers put in so much soap opera stuff that not necessary to the storyline. Ex= (At first she's one way then she a different way then back to the first way but does she really love him). Oh boy that stuff gets old real fast so I skip those parts. '"But really liked the book.

Home to. Seabird key
Loved it the second in the series, keeping up to date with the characters from the previous novels and meeting new people. I hope that there is a book three in the making.
