Nib for Safari, Vista, Joy, AL-Star, Black Fine

I had purchased a Safari with a medium nib and found it to be far to broad and wet for my liking. This nib is perfect. A little on the wet side of a fine, and pleasantly so. Very easy to install, smooth writer.

Inordered a replacement nib in F and instead they sent me an EF but guess what ? It writes beautifully! And they even included an entire brand new Lamy Safari pen in gloss black with a carteidge ! Hahaha winning ! 7 bucs for a brand new lamy safari with EF nib. Cant beat this deal with a stick.

Installed on a black Lamy Safari fountain pen. Looks great against the black Safari. It replaced the supplied medium nib which wrote nicely, but a bit broad. Was hoping for a nice fine line, equal to a 0.7mm rollerball. It wrote nicely, smooth & consistent immediately, however, it was as broad as the medium nib. A bit of tuning was required to achieve a fine line. Slight alignment of the tines, and polishing the tip with micro mesh (time consuming), I was able to get a nice fine line. A little extra work, and it's a winner.

On the plus side, after some coaxing this is writing better than my original nib. I got it to replace the F nib on my Safari that I've had for ages but always felt a little scratchy and seemed much more wet and broad than a fine nib should write. (I have many EF nibs and the difference between this F and those EF was beyond drastic). On the more negative side of things, this nib didn't fit on the feed Initially. It was loose and would fall right off holding the pen perpendicular to the table. I had to gently crimp it with pliers to get it I to fit snugly, and then carefully but firmly roll the back of the nib side to side against a pad of paper until the tines were flush with the feed. As I said, after a fair amount of shaping work, it writes great. I'm not certain whether this is normal or I got a lemon (though I found one person on Reddit who had this exact issue from a lamy nib he got on Amazon). However, I could find no information that indicated replacing a Lamy nib should be this much work.

As a lefty I try a lot of things. This nib works great for me. If your a kefty don’t buy EF or LH get F or M . LH , for me anyway, doesn’t do better then M

I was very excited about this nib, but it is much too fine. It scratches even on Clairefontaine paper and is not as easy to write with as the medium nib. A disappointing purchase.

Great nib! Writes very smoothly and has a great subdued color. Easily fits onto your Safari or AL-Star

Shipped a white nib instead of black. After few months of use, I found the nib to loose it's fine piont. It is writing thicker now. The original nib did not have this issue even after 1 year use.

Excelente grosor de linea me da ésta punta, es grado fino y escribe de manera perfecta, no chorrea, tampoco se pasa al lado de atrás de la hoja. Lo recomiendo.

I bought medium nib safari pen but its writting is too broad 1 mm thicknes so i bought this . Its fine for my hand writing
