Diamondback Bicycles 2014 Venom BMX Bike (20-Inch Wheels)

I'm a ditz! I didn't even think about how I was going to get it put together. I had to take it to a Diamondback dealer to have it professionally put together. On Christmas Eve, my grandson was riding it for the first time and the front tire blew up sending him over the steering wheel. Thankfully, he was not injured. I took it back to the Diamondback dealer and he put in a heavier tire.

So the bike is great. Well made, easy to put together and my kid loves it. .It was missing some parts so it is hard to review the whole bike. I did not receive the pegs for sure. A few scratches on the bike as well, but we added to them the first day out anyway. It is a great bike and would recommend it. The bike is 5 stars.

Packing carton arrived in good condition, but when I took the bike out and started assembly I noticed some scratches and flawed paint. It appears to have come from the factory that way. I would have returned it, but did not have time because I was giving it to my Grandson for his birthday and it was only a few days away. I went to an AutoZone and bought a $10 can of paint to touch up the flaws. Was pretty disappointed in the bike because my wife got a DiamondBack from a local sporting good store a few years ago and it was well made and well finished.

Pros: Bike seems well built, very nice candy apple red color, easy to assemble, quality parts for a low price. Comes with pegs, 1 front and 1 rear which are not pictured.Cons: Bike was delivered with several small paint chips and scratches, brakes a little tricky to adjust, also rear only brake lacks bite. Handlebar needs to be tightened down very very tight on to the neck to keep from moving back and forth.( Im a male 225lbs and i had to reef on it) stickers are preinstalled on bike and leave a residue if removed.Overall: This bike is way better than any similarly priced bike you'll find at your local big box retail store.( walmart, target, toysrus, etc..) 11 year old son loves this bike and has recieved many compliments from many envious kids at the local bmx park.

this bike is amazing for the price. the hub is loud the paint wasnt scratched at all when it came, nothing was broken or misplaced. the bike has no issues and is really light
