Subject 9 - Fits: Mustang GT Pre-Cut Vinyl Overlay Complete Headlight and Taillight Plus Tint (2005 2006 2007 2008 2009) Dark

Anybody that is familiar with vinyl installation will know these are cut at the perfect size. Yes, they're oversized, but for a reason. Center your taillight pieces, squeegee out the fluid of the larger flat areas, and use a heat gun or hair dryer and it will shrink down and bend nicely into the crevices to cover the entire red of the taillights as well as evaporate the remaining fluid. All the pieces are designed to be applied with a heat gun. When prepping the surfaces, I recommend alcohol, then using your nail to try and remove any burs that might cause bumps in the vinyl and then alcohol again. This vinyl is the perfect thickness for mitigating errors as well as workability. If you don't have a way to heat, an exacto knife and a straight edge will help immensely. I chose to cut my taillight access where I also installed taillight trim. The only other challenge was the front turn signals. You'll need something plastic like body molding tools to tuck the access vinyl. The thickness (height) is perfect but the length will need to be tucked towards the outside of the car, or you can cut it to fit. The last bit of advice I would give is use your thumb to push the fluid out and flatten the narrow pieces and have a squeegee ready for the taillights, headlights and fogs. Everything will need to be cut or heated a bit but with some patience and carefulness in your work, I think most will be happy with this product. It definitely changes the entire look of the car and IMO, it looks great! A good substitute if you don't want to spend a ton of money on aftermarket parts.

Great product, they applied easily and look great! Slightly larger than anticipated but with the heat gun was no problem at all. Totally love the blacked out look of my car.

Item did not fit exactly perfect and needed to be trimmed with scissors. Very little instructions came with package. A lot more difficult to install then described. Attempted to do install and then gave up.

I almost didn't buy this kit, all the neg. reviews! Ha ... glad I didn't listen to the competition raggin on these guys. Great quality, great thickness ... does not melt to your lights, fog or other. Simple, simple simple install, or you can take your time and go for flawless. Don't overwork the film. That easy. Lay it on, grab your hair dryer and go for it. Couple tips: wet the outside with your soapy water before squeegeeing and keep it wet. Use your thumb for corners. Read the instructions.

Headlights and fog lights fit well, took some work due to curvature and shape, some minor areas where it just would lay down or stick. Bigger issue for me was side markers and taillights, side marker pieces cut to bumper opening, not to marker light, looked ok, but when you use lights or light them up you can tell it’s partially covered, same with taillights. If you want something that just gives you a smoked look but don’t care about how it appears functionally, they’re ok. Definitely not the quality or look I was going for.

What is there to say, it tints and sticks.. Does the job, and does it fine, nothing great.

Quality vinyl tint for the headlights. If you’ve ever tinted a window you can install this kit with no problem with a heat gun and some soapy water. If you haven’t, I recommend having a friend help and follow the provided instructions. Be patient and don’t overheat the material.

Fronts worked amazing on my 07 gt mustang. Backs where a little big, so I had to cut them myself, which made them look a little different then normal. Still looks good!
