My wife wanted to use the larger monitor on the desk instead of looking at the smaller 14" Untrabook screen while working on assignments. To accomplish this we needed to adapt the DVI cable from the monitor to the Intel Ultrabook mini HDMI. Using a DVI to HDMI cable worked well connecting to the monitor, then with this adapter I down sized the HDMI connection to the Mini HDMI size that the Ultrabook has. This adapter works well and now my wife can use the full size monitor and have less eye strain through the day. To be clear, of all the options that include cable etc, we bought only the mini adapter that adapts from full HDMI to mini HDMI, since we already had HDMI cables.There are other ways to get video from the Ultrabook to the monitor (USB adapters) but this simple and clean solution is working well for us. You do need to make sure that the mini adapter is fully seated in the Ultrabook, and then due to all of the pressure the longer and heavier cable is exerting we put the Ultrabook aside and don't bump it. It stays connected fine that way.5 stars for a high quality low cost adapter that had worked well for us for months now.

Already having many normal HDMI cables in the past, I bought a video card for a computer that required an HDMI mini. Not owning one, I wanted to test out the card immediately. I went to many stores like Walmart and Best Buy. This simple piece of equipment was never available, only a 5 or 10 ft variant and the price was ridiculous! Retail stores charge $30-40 for the cable.After checking out Amazon and seeing this adapter for pennies on the dollar, I returned the cable as soon as I received it and saw no difference in performance, regardless of the price. This was a life saver and so much cheaper. I highly recommend this!

I needed an HDMI to mini HDMI adapter for my raspberry pi 400 to a new monitor. I forgot to check the monitor's input, so this worked as intended. So far, no issue.

I bought this so I could connect my laptop to my TV, and I haven't had a single problem with the setup. I would buy one again if I had need for a second one.

Hello, all.I like this seller because they gave me good service & the price was great.I felt I couldn't give 5*s because the fit seemed to be just a little bit loose.Sometimes moving the tablet caused the connection to be interrupted, but other than that it was good.I bought this to use w/ a HDMI cable for video out from a tablet to the TV, instead of buying a cable specifically for this.Mainly because I wanted to see what kind of results I could could get w/ a 'cheap' tablet, instead of using an Android TV stick or one of the more expensive TV add-ons.The results were pretty good, so much that I then bought a cable with the mini HDMI connector.I'm going to keep the adapter, either for my own use, or as a gift to a friend.Thanks "Cable Matters", for a good deal.Have a GREAT day, neighbors!

Good quality, I've gotten 4 so far and all have worked flawlessly. They are a little weak though. I use them as an adapter for my computer (gpu came with mini hdmi for some stupid reason) and I'm always unplugging my monitor and tv hdmi out of it. After a while the little mini thing breaks loose and I have to get a new one. For their price, they're great though, and if it's going to be used for a more permanent fitting, then there's nothing bad about these little things.

This dangle works as intended, but after about a month my computer ate it. As I was pulling it out of my laptop the metal shroud around the pins pulled off, I was able to slide it back over the pins until one day this happened and I broke it. Also, if you depend on a USB port that is right next to the micro HDMI port on your laptop this will likely obstruct it as it is rather large. My only other complaint is, because it's one unit, it has a tendency to bend and move with the cable, so you have to be careful moving your laptop around.If you just need something to use every once in a while, and don't want to spend a lot of money this will work just fine. If you plan on using this device on a regular basic I recommend the 10 dollar two pack of the micro to full size cable adapters, I bought those to replace this and it solves all the issues I had with this.

Finally found an adapter that works great with the Pico projector that fits straight in.
