These are the best marine speakers fro under 20$ put them on an amp!
I got these bad boys because i have a leak in my window that i cant fix readily. They work great btw. Loud af. They will go down to 50hz without too mich trouble but will clip most head units, better run these guys on one of those pyle 4 channels youve been eyeballin. Their dirt cheap, they sound great and take a whoopin. I have mine on a high pass at 80hz and they get LOUD. Did i mention they run all the time soaked in my truck? ****UPDATE**** If there were a 6 star rating these sumbitches would git it!!!!! Ive had these things in my doors for about a year and this week i finally got my setup on an amp. When i pulled them from my door, the connections were corroded to the terminals, got it loose with some battery cleaner. the insides were fairly clean, but you could tell they had been washed a few times. I got em hooked back up with some 12 gauge and insulated connestors. I alumalocked em this time, good to go! In the back i have a pair of bass infernos that handle about twice the wattage of these. At the terminals i measure 70 watts at 1.97 ohms per channel. No clipping and they are clear as day. I cant even have my setup turned up past halfway while driving because its a a bit of a hazard. I will say again that head units dont really have the juice to get these speakers to really do what they do, Put them on an amp!

These are an excellent value, and they sound decent.
First let me say that these sound decent. Anybody who says otherwise doesn't know what they are doing. Any speaker will sound like garbage if you don't have it in an enclosure. Don't know what that is? Then google it before you ever make another comment about speaker sound quality! Many boats have speakers mounted to plywood with the back of the speaker wide open- that will sound like garbage no matter what speaker you use. When these speakers are mounted with a decent enclosure behind them, the sound all right. But hey, you are outdoors- any speaker won't sound perfect unless you have a 1,000 watt P.A. amplifier playing at 100 decibels to overcome ambient noise and poor acoustics! These speakers, properly enclosed, have a very good bass response- the highs are a little weak, and the midrange is a little muddy, if I were to be super picky. The less than "perfect" sound is because these are only dual cone speakers, not three way or coaxial. For dual cones, these are fine. The grille and speaker basket are all one of piece plastic that also totally encloses the magnet. That, along with the fact that the included mounting screws are stainless steel, means little worry about corrosion. Other reviewers did mention that the speaker terminals corroded, and I agree that could be an issue. A smear of Anti-Seize, before and after hook up should solve that- just make sure that the pos. and neg. terminals have separation- because Anti-Seize does conduct electricity a little. All in all, I recommend these speakers- especially at this price!!

They Are Not "2-Way" Speakers
I was a bit disappointed when I received a set of these to discover that there is no tweeter! The ad says "2-Way", which in my opinion, should include a separate tweeter. The ad should state "Dual Cone" to avoid any misunderstanding. Amazon is fantastic in resolving issues so I give them "10 Stars" for the way that they handled this situation.. Kudos! For what they are, they're great! I didn't expect great sound from a waterproof speaker but I was blown away! They don't have the high end response that I wanted but honestly, they sound really good! Crank up the highs a little and they'll come to life. Bass is in par with the majority of any 6.5" speaker. Sensitivity is great and the mids are smooth, not ear piercing. Overall, a good choice for any general low powered outdoor application. Don't know how long that they will last but we shall find out.. I wanted a set of fire pit speakers. I planted them in 5 gal. bucket lids, stuffed each bucket with half of the stuffing from an old pillow, snapped them together and Wala! (Might want to remove the handles, the bass is that good! Use some silicone to keep water from the inside) Cheap, durable, portable speakers that you can forget to take inside without worrying about dew or rain destroying them. Enjoy!

Direct replacement speakers for my boat
Replaced the speakers on my 2007 Bayliner Deck Boat SD217. Fit perfectly in the original mounting holes, even used the same screw holes. Very pleased with how easy the installation was. Speakers have great sound and their performance is very similar to the original speakers that came with the boat.

Fit Like a Glove
Wasn't sure what size I needed so measure existing and read description. Everything lined up perfectly. Haven't used them yet but install was a breeze. There quite heavy and appear to be well made. Great value for the money.

Great speakers, better than I expected.
I originally purchased these units as a replacement for my travel trailer's external speakers but they required too much mounting depth. I was kind of discouraged and then my wife suggested to not return them but to rather use them on our patio. I had been wanting to buy some out door speakers for my patio and I thought this was a good idea.. I made some small 8"x 8" by 4" deep wood boxes out of some scrap 1" thick pine and placed each speaker into a separate speaker box.. I hooked them up to an older Kenwood amp (it is pretty powerful, but I don't remember the wattage) that I use for my outdoor system.. The speaker work really great for this type of application.. They of course do not have the BOOMING BASS, but if want some music for everyday or during a little backyard BBQ, then these work well.. I believe they would also work very well as a replacement / upgrade for an RV's external speaker system, but not for a speed boat type application where they would need to be super loud to be heard over the noise of the boats motion.
