Jeep Cherokee XJ Steering Box Stiffener/Reinforcement Plate (1 Each)

This steering box stiffener is a great way to increase the durability of the front section of a cherokee's unibody. The front steering box area is notorious for cracking and ripping under normal use, let alone extreme use with lifts, large tires and heavy wheeling. This plate helps spread the forces put on the unibody by the steering box. The addition of this part can greatly increase the durability and life of the front end of your jeep. when we wheel with over sized tires, we are putting huge forces and stresses on the relatively weak "frame". Made out of water jet cut 3/16ths steel, this part is made tough and made to last. It comes raw, but should bepainted to prevent rust. We strongly suggest welding this part to the unibody, but CAN be bolted on for those that do not have access to a welder. This part is alsoa great way to tie in aftermarket bumpers or tow points onto the front of your jeep. Again, it helps spread the load farther back into the front of the unibody.
